My girl and I are big fans of football. We actually met in a football stadium. She was watching football while I was watching her. Kidding aside, I saw her cheering out loud and I tell you, it was annoyingly loud! I guess her timing was bad because she cheered when no one was cheering. That awkward moment has not really swept me off my feet but made me laugh really hard at her awkwardness. And there she saw me mocking her. Afterwards, I do not know how we got around but we were able to exchange numbers that same day. Maybe that awkward moment has not really made a gap but instead has made bridges to talk to each other. Anyway, today happens to be our first year anniversary. For a week I was thinking of the best gift I can give her from which we could reminisce the past. Of course I cannot buy a football stadium like Beckham but surely I can buy a ticket to watch a game. But the match today is not exciting besides it would be boring to watch instead of be romantic on a date. This was not a good time to watch. Then popped up the argentina jersey. We were both originally from Argentina and the jersey was the best memoir of how we first met. I purchased those because they had the best deals in town. And surprisingly, my girlfriend has bought couple shirts for us, arsenal jersey. This is how much our minds are connected with both of us wearing cheap soccer shoes.
